The 2015-S Blue Ridge Parkway (NC) Uncirculated Quarter showcases an East Coast favorite. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a National Parkway and considered to be an All-American Road, running through mostly Virginia and North Carolina counties. This 469 mile long parkway is the longest linear park in America and contains the Blue Ridge Mountains, which are a large part of the Appalachian Mountains. The Blue Ridge Parkway's intent was to connect the Shenandoah National Park to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Although it is not considered to be a national park, it has been apart of the National Park system since 1946 and was included on North Carolina's ATB quarters in 2015.
