  • Description:

Since it’s release in 1986, collectors and investors have flocked to the American Gold Eagle for their investment dreams. These coins are backed by the credit and integrity of the US Government while carrying varied face values from $50 to $5. Named the official bullion coin of the United States of America, the American Gold Eagle is not to be confused with the $10 eagle coin minted in the Pre-1933 era. Since there is a fine line between the difference of the American Gold Eagle and the $10 eagle, collectors and investors usually refer to the Gold Eagle by its weight when being discussed.

The American Gold Eagle 1/10 oz resembles the size of a dime and is the perfect investment starter kit for any special occasion. Like its larger counterparts, the American Gold Eagle 1/10 oz features a design that is both familiar and unique with its inspired composition. The famous $20 Saint-Gaudens design, by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, greatly influenced the design of the American Gold Eagle and has been struck on US bullion coins ever since. The obverse features a fierce Lady Liberty, portrayed as a Grecian goddess, holding a torch in one hand and olive branches in the other. The obverse also features the date of the coin, in this case “2015” while the reverse reads “United States of America”’ “E Pluribus Unum” as well as the details of the coin “1 oz. Fine Gold $5 Dollars”. The reverse also reveals two large bald eagles, the kings of the birds of prey, making a cozy nest out of olive branches. Donned a US collector's staple, the American Gold Eagle must be added to your gold investment portfolio!
