THE GRADING SCALE FOR NOTES GOES AS FOLLOWS:
Crisp Uncirculated CU or UNC: A sharply printed note with no folds or evidence of circulation. The paper remains crisp and original, although minor centering or handling imperfections may be present.
About Uncirculated AU: An attractive note with nearly full original crispness. It may display a light center fold, corner bend, or minor handling evidence but shows little actual circulation.
Extremely Fine XF or EF: A lightly circulated note with bright paper and strong eye appeal. A few light folds or creases may be visible, with minimal overall wear.
Very Fine VF: A moderately circulated note that remains relatively crisp and appealing. Several folds, light soiling, or minor edge wear may be present, but the note remains intact.
Fine F: A circulated note with multiple folds, softer paper, and noticeable handling wear. Minor edge splits or small imperfections may be present, although the design remains clear.
Very Good VG: A well-circulated note with considerable wear, staining, folds, or small edge splits. The note may be limp but remains complete and readily identifiable.
Good G: A heavily worn note with extensive circulation, discoloration, folds, edge damage, or small missing portions. Major design elements remain recognizable.
PR or Lower: A severely worn note that may have tears, holes, stains, missing pieces, writing, or other substantial damage. The note remains identifiable but may have limited eye appeal.
