  • Description:

The Philadelphia Mint is the only mint established by the Founding Fathers. This honor took place in 1792, when the Founding Fathers desired to be put on the international commerce map. In order to establish itself for import/export, the US needed to produce its own currency. When the Philadelphia Mint was established, so was the Mint Act with several requirements to follow. The main requirement was that an emblematic symbol of liberty should be indicated on every coin. For this reason alone, the US has included an eagle or Lady Liberty on every coin to honor the code. The 2004-P Sacagawea Dollar was minted at the Philadelphia Mint and is in pristine uncirculated condition. Since the most of the Sacagawea Dollars were minted for collection purposes, not many were circulated, destroying their beautiful mint finish. The Sacagawea Dollar set is perfect for the easy going collector, who enjoy low premium coins.
