  • Description:

Finishing up the series, the 1935 Peace dollar was minted at the first mint facility in the US. The Philadelphia Mint is considered to be the main US Mint branch, producing the majority of its coins. The Peace dollar was first minted in 1921, as a result to the Pittman Act of 1918, and as a way to memorialize the peace attained by the US after World War I. The Peace dollar was the first US silver dollar to represent peace by featuring goddess of Liberty on the obverse. The goddess resembles the tall statue that stand in New York City's harbor, after 130 years of being built. Your 1935 Peace dollar is the last Peace dollar to be put into circulation or collected. Since the Philadelphia Mint was the first mint, it wasn't necessary for them to include a mint-mark on their coins. Your dollar also shimmers with its original mint luster, with a few bag marks that are not overlooked. Enjoy owning this vintage relic of the past by also investing in your future!
