With its small size and golden tone, the Sacagawea Dollar has been a beloved collection since its first year of mintage in 2000. With the production of the Sacagawea Dollar, the mint also decided to keep a tighter reign on the coin's mintage from year to year, in hopes of avoiding unused coins laying around. In 2009, the US Mint decided to change the Sacagawea Dollar's reverse yearly, departing from the simple eagle design it used for 8 years. The 2011-P Sacagawea Dollar is in brilliant uncirculated condition and will be packaged in a coin flip. The obverse displays the famous Shoshone Native American, Sacagawea's face. The date of mintage and mint-mark are included on the rim of the coin. Since 2009, the US Mint started to change the reverse design, each design resembling the importance of Sacagawea's act of bravery. The Wampanoag Treaty is displayed on the reverse of the 2011-P Dollar.
