Lahore Mint, VG-F condition. Wilkes#1743. The Ghaznavid Dynasty ruled over what is now Eastern Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Northwest India from 977-1186 A.D. They succeeded the Saminid Empire, and fell to the Seljuk and Ghurid Kingdoms. This coin was issued by Khusru Malik, the final ruler of the dynasty, six generations after its founding by Mahmud, Sultan of Ghazna.
