The 1985 1/2oz Chinese Gold Panda is in brilliant uncirculated and comes packaged either in a coin flip or coin pouch/ The reverse design displays a sweet duo of a mother panda with her cub. The cub is adorably balanced on its mother's back as both bears look straight ahead. Climbing its mother's back is quite the activity for a cub before it can take a lot of real steps. Since bamboo plays a key role in a panda's survival, a few bamboo shoots also make an appearance on the coin. For a coin to be considered an actual coin, it must carry a legal tender value. The obverse displays the Temple of Heaven that carries rich history for the people of China. "The People's Republic of China," is also showcased in Chinese symbols and the coin's date of mintage is inscribed below the temple.
