It is a common theme, among silver dollars, for them to be discontinued only to make a comeback a few years later. Just like the Morgan, the Peace silver dollar had a comeback in 1934 for just two years. Hitting an all time low, the price of domestic silver lured in the US to start producing silver dollars again. The Philadelphia Mint made 954,097 silver dollars in 1934, under the reign of a new Chief Engraver. The Peace silver dollar was minted at all three mints for the returning year. Your Certified 1934 Peace silver dollar is in the elite group of Mint State gems, with a nice grade of MS63. NGC assigned the coin's grade and has preserved it in an official NGC holder. NGC also produces speciality storage boxes for all of their certified coins, allowing collectors more room for storage.
