Certified Morgan Silver Dollar 1921-D MS 64 NGC

The Certified Morgan Silver Dollar 1921-D MS64 NGC has earned a BU grade and comes encased in an official NGC holder. The 1921-D Morgan carries the "D" mint-mark on the reverse of the coin and is the only Morgan that actually has the "D" mark. In fact, all mint-marks on Morgans can be determined by looking on the reverse and underneath the eagle's tail feathers. George T. Morgan was the talented assistant engraver at the US Mint when he designed the Morgan silver dollar. After nearly 40 years as assistant engraver, Morgan finally earned the title, Chief engraver in 1917. Morgan was appointed Chief engraver just in time to send the Morgan dollar off on its final sail in 1921.
