Certified Morgan Silver Dollar 1904-O MS64+ NGC

Finding the 1904-O Morgan silver dollar in brilliant uncirculated isn't difficult. In fact, it's easier to find this date in higher grades than it is for the circulated ones. This is due to the basic fact that until the 1960's, the 1904-O Morgan was thought to be a rare year for the old silver dollar. But once the New Orleans Mint closed, in 1909, most of its coins were sent to the Philadelphia Mint and left untouched. When these coins were recovered, there were thousands of BU Morgans, putting the "rare coin" name to shame. Since many 1904-O Morgans were withheld from circulation, there are fewer circulated ones, causing them to have a higher value than the BU Morgans. Your 1904-O Morgan is received the MS64 or better grade. This grade simply means it's close to being a MS65 by NGC.
