The Philadelphia Mint, the Carson City Mint, the San Francisco Mint and the New Orleans Mint are the four original mints to have produced the Morgan silver dollar. The Old Mint served as a branch of the US Mint from 1838-1861, then again from 1879-1909. While the Morgan silver dollar was in production, the New Orleans Mint was able to stay in business since it relied on the Morgan silver dollar production. Unfortunately, the Morgan's production ceased in 1904 and the New Orleans Mint was decommissioned shortly after. The Old Mint has been deemed one of the oldest structures still standing in the US, and is officially a US landmark. Your 1892-O Morgan is considered to be in brilliant uncirculated condition and has earned the high grade of MS63. PCGS is a top grading agency that is trusted by dealers and mints all over the country. Your coin comes complete in an official coin holder, proudly sporting its grade as well.
