The Certified Morgan Silver Dollar 1884 MS63 PCGS has earned a grade that falls in the middle of the Sheldon BU grading scale and is protected in an official PCGS holder. Since Philadelphia was the capital at the time, the first mint was established in the center of it. The Coinage Act of 1792 announced the creation of the Philadelphia Mint, due to the Founding Father's desire to establish a means of international commerce. The Mint Act was passed shortly after, giving guidelines to the currency about to be produced. The Mint Act instituted a decimal system based on a dollar unit, the coins had to specify its metallic composition and fineness. It was also required that each US currency coin should present "an impression emblematic of liberty."
