In 2008, the US Mint decided to slightly change the reverse on the American Silver Eagle. The change wasn't drastic, just a different font was replaced. While the West Point Mint was producing their Burnished coins for 2008, the die for the 07 reverse was still being used. Half of the Burnished coins carried the 07 reverse, while the other half contained the updated reverse. The Burnished Eagles come from the West Point Mint, and are in matte brilliant uncirculated condition. Each Burnished coin has a "W" mint-mark and are a part of a lower mintage. Since the Reverse of 07 Burnished eagles are limited, they have become a top priority for many collectors, especially graded ones.
Your Burnished 2008-W Silver Eagle MS69 NGC Reverse Of 07 has earned one of the highest grades possible, by one of the top grading agencies in the world. Since the Reverse of 07 Silver Eagles are rare, with mintages much lower than the normal eagle, it is wise investing in a certified version. The obverse design was inspired by Adolph A. Weinman's famous design on the Walking Liberty half dollar from 1916-1947.

-Obverse: The Walking Liberty design was chosen, due to its popularity by being the most popular image on a US coin in coinage history. This iconic image graces the obverse of every American Silver Eagle; Lady Liberty is delicately draped in a loose fitting dress as she holds dearly some branches in her arm and the US flag over her shoulders. "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the date of mintage are stamped on the obverse as well.
-Reverse: The reverse reveals the US Seal: a large eagle with outstretched wings, talons holding branches and arrows, and a shield to protect its chest.
