Details

This 1878 Seated Liberty Half Dollar was struck in proof format at the Philadelphia Mint and certified PR62 by PCGS. The obverse portrays Liberty seated beside a shield inscribed LIBERTY while holding a pole topped with a Liberty cap. Thirteen stars encircle the design, and the date appears below. The reverse depicts a heraldic eagle holding arrows and an olive branch beneath the motto IN GOD WE TRUST.
