Details

This 1859 Seated Liberty Half Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint and certified MS63 by PCGS. The obverse depicts Liberty seated upon a rock, holding a pole topped with a Liberty cap while supporting a shield inscribed LIBERTY. Thirteen stars surround the design, with the date 1859 below. The reverse features a heraldic eagle holding arrows and an olive branch, surrounded by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination HALF DOL.
