  • Description:

The Burnished Silver Eagle series began in 2006, when the West Point Mint decided they would like to produce brilliant uncirculated eagles. Since they participated in the proof silver eagle series, they wanted to offer something with their mint-mark that also could have its own brand name. Burnished Silver Eagles carry the "W" mint-mark and are in matte BU condition. What takes these low mintage gems to the next level is owning a certified version. Certified coins are highly sought after by serious collectors and dealers, since their authenticity has been proven by a prestigious grading company. Certified coins also carry a higher numismatic value and are easier to store than non-certified coins.

Your Burnished 2007-W Silver Eagle MS69 NGC Early Release has earned the high grade of MS69, by NGC, and is preserved in an official NGC holder. Your coin is also a part of the NGC's Early Release program, wherein it was one of the first coins to be minted within 30 days of production. The reverse carries the national seal of the United States of America, a regal eagle being guarded by a large shield, each talon holding something. The coin's purity and weight are also featured on the reverse for validity purposes. The obverse design displays a tall and slender Lady Liberty, gracefully walking over the land of the free. She is clothed in a lightweight robe that gently flows with every step she takes and her shoulders are draped with the American flag. One arm is outstretched and inviting while the other is carrying a bundle of branches. The obverse is stamped with "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the coin's year of mintage as well.
