US Mint Centennial Gold Coin Series

US Mint Centennial Gold Coin Series

An homage to some of the US Mint's most popular coin series, the Centennial Gold Coin Series introduces a modern take on past classics. The Mercury Dime, Standing Liberty Quarter, and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar each offer the collector a glimpse into the past, while also helping their investment into the future. The year, 2016, celebrates the 100 year anniversary of when each of these coins were first minted. Adolph A. Weinman was the sculptor, who designed both the Mercury and Walking Liberty portraits, while Hermon A. MacNeil designed the Standing Liberty. All three coin collections were very successful and are still being enjoyed by collectors today. Backed by the US Mint, the Centennial Gold Coin series contains .9999 pure gold, offering different weights depending on the investment goal. Competing with some of the lowest minted coins in history, each Centennial Gold Coin's mintage is intriguing to both the collector and investor.
