This was the highest award a civilian could receive from the Soviet Union. They were issued between 1930 and 1991. It contains approximately 30 grams of gold, with a 3 gram platinum inlay with the portrait of Vladimir Lenin. This piece also has a ribbon, which was issued on awards starting in 1943.
