  • Description:

The Certified Morgan Silver Dollar 1903 MS64 PCGS has earned a grade on the higher end of the Sheldon BU grading scale and is protected in an official PCGS holder. While Panama was declaring independence from Colombia or the first transatlantic radio broadcast between the US and England was made or the first modern World Series was played in Pittsburgh, the silver dollar was fighting political battles to be minted. George T. Morgan was an assistant engraver for 30 years before he was announced the Chief Engraver for the United States Mint. As the assistant engraver, Morgan designed the Morgan silver dollars. But since the silver dollars contain 90% silver, the government wanted to make sure it was being properly regulated. Throughout the Morgan Silver dollar's life, there were numerous attempts to authorize then unauthorize the minting of the silver dollar.
