  • Description:

Maintaining fractionalized pieces in your collection is a great way to expand your investment. The American Gold Eagles became the first and so far, only, coin series that offers fractionalized coins in the US i.e. 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz. Investors and collectors have since enjoyed the fruits of the American Gold Eagle, especially since it rivals older coins in popularity! The US Mint has produced this gold series in brilliant uncirculated and proof condition. The burnished versions are only available in 1oz increments. The American Gold Eagle was first released in 1986 and has remained a loyal favorite each and every year!

The Certified American $5 Gold Eagle 2010 MS70 First Strike PCGS is a part of the PCGS First Strike program; being one of the first coins graded for that date. PCGS is trusted by dealers, mints, and collectors nationwide and are admired for their high quality certification process and sleek, dependable packaging. The design, used for the American Gold Eagle, was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907 and repurposed in 1986 for the gold eagle. The Lady Liberty design has been used as a symbol of patriotism since the US began minting their own currency and her message of courage and power still reigns true. Dressed in a light robe, Lady Liberty is depicted as a warrior, with only a torch and an olive branch as her weapons. The word, "Liberty," is written above her head, and 50 small stars encircle the coin's rim.
