The America the Beautiful 5oz silver coin series is an homage to the quarter series released every year. Giving silver investors something to look forward to, as well as the loyal collectors, the America the Beautiful series generally contains extremely low mintages as it produces 5 coins a year. The US Mint has committed to this series and expects to see it upon completion with 56 coins in total at the end. Each coin honors a national park or monument in the US, has it artistically depicts a famous site from each place. The Everglades National Park is featured on the reverse of one of the 2014 silver coins. Consisting of 1.4 million acres of wetland preserve, on the southern tip of Florida, the Everglades National Park is home to inumerous wildlife and marshes. The endangered leatherback turtle finds sanctuary at the park, as well as the Florida panther, and the West Indian manatee. There were only 34,000 2014 Silver 5oz.
