The 1996 American Silver Eagle has the lowest mintage to date of the collection. The normal mintage for a Silver Eagle usually ranges between 5 million and 7 million but the 1996 was only minted 3,603,386 times. Due to this slight decrease in mintage, the 1996 American Silver Eagle has become the most sought after eagle but also the most difficult to find.
Your 1996 American Silver Eagle is guaranteed, by the US Mint, to consist of one ounce of .999 pure silver and will be packaged in a coin flip for protection during shipment. The brilliant uncirculated finish, on your coin, sparkles with a "freshly minted" luster that will stand out in any coin collection. Whether you are looking to buy silver online for your own collection or for a loved one, the American Eagle Coin series should not be overlooked!

-Obverse: The Lady Liberty, on the obverse, stands tall and proud, yet displays a tenderness at the same time. This popular design of the Lady comes from the famous design by Adolph A. Weinman. This German-American sculptor was given the honor of designing the Walking Liberty half -dollar, which was in circulation from 1916-1947. This design became so popular that the US Mint decided to resurrect it for the American Silver Eagle. Each silver eagle contains the Lady Liberty, dressed in a lightweight robe, with the American flag discreetly draped over her shoulders. One arm is outstretched while the other is clinging onto a bundle of branches. The rising sun, behind her, is slowly coming up to offer hope with a new day. "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the coin's date of mintage is included on the obverse.
-Reverse: The national seal of the United States of America is featured on the reverse of every American Silver Eagle. The reverse also bears the stamp that reveals the coin's purity and weight for good measure.
