Burnished American Gold Eagles
The Burnished Uncirclated coin series began in 2006 when the US Mint began offering Uncirculated American Eagles bearing the West Point (W) mint mark. Until then, the uncirculated coins were issued by the US Treasury Department bearing no mint mark.
