Presidential Dollars William Henry Harrison 2009-P 25 pcs (Roll)

Collectors enjoy the history that the Presidential Dollars encourage those to learn, about the past presidents of the United States. William Henry Harrison is honored on the obverse of the 2009-P Presidential Dollar. Although Harrison was the last president born as a British subject, and was a powerful military officer, he will always be remembered as the president who served the shortest term. Elected when he was 68 years old, Harrison died of pneumonia just 32 days into his term. He would also hold the title of oldest elected president until Ronald Reagan was elected in 1981. Harrison's death sparked a constitutional crisis, wherein many questions of the presidential line of succession would have to be answered. William Henry Harrison was actually an experienced politician, who fought in the Battle of 1812. Unfortunately, his death was so shocking that his legacy will be the short amount of days he served as president.

Beginning in 2007, the Presidential Dollar series was the first coin collection to memorialize past presidents. Going in chronological order and starting with George Washington, four dollars are minted yearly, containing four presidents at a time. William Henry Harrison was the 9th president of the United States and is the first president to be featured on the 2009 Presidential Dollars. Although the golden tone of these dollars can fool you, the Presidential Dollars are not made of gold; in fact, the golden hue stems from a copper and manganese brass alloy. The Philadelphia Mint proudly produces the Presidential Dollars, since it was established by the Founding Fathers. All brilliant uncirculated coins come in rolls of 25 and cannot be guaranteed that they are in their original paper packaging.
