  • Description:

Without a doubt, the American Silver Eagles are the most popular bullion collections in the US. Varieties from brilliant uncirculated to proof finishes, certified MS69-MS70, or burnished, it is hard for investors and collectors to deny this incredible collection. After burning through the BU and Proof coins, collectors are usually ready for something a touch more challenging. The Burnished Silver Eagles were first produced in 2006, from the West Point Mint. The New York based mint is known for participating in the Proof Silver Eagle production but the BU coins are entirely different. Resembling the same frosted matte finish of a BU coin, the Burnished Eagles are the only BU eagles minted at West Point.

Your Burnished 2006-W Silver Eagle MS70 NGC is a difficult to find in pure MS70 grade. NGC is one of the top grading companies in the US and is revered for its consistent and perfect grading standards. The obverse design displays a tall and slender Lady Liberty, gracefully walking over the land of the free. She is clothed in a light weight robe that gently flows with every step she takes and her shoulders are draped with the American flag. One arm is outstretched and inviting while the other is carrying a bundle of branches. The obverse is stamped with "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the coin's year of mintage as well. The reverse carries the national seal of the United States of America, a regal eagle being guarded by a large shield, each talon holding something. The coin's purity and weight are also featured on the reverse for validity purposes. For any curious investor or collector, buying silver like this gem is a wise investment choice.
