The 2013-P 5 oz Silver ATB Great Basin coin is the third installment issued by the US Mint in 2013. The US Mint decided to make a bullion series that commemorates US national parks, landmarks, and other historical territories. Only minting a limited amount every time, the 5 oz America the Beautiful coins are a much sought after collectible item for any coin collector looking to increase their collection. 30,000 of the Great Basin Coins were minted in 2013 and have become increasingly difficult to find. The 2013-P 5 oz Silver ATB Great Basin coin is .999 silver, in brilliant uncirculated condition, and comes in government issued packaging.
The Great Basin National Park is located in Nevada and was recently established as a park in 1986. The park's main attraction was the Bristlecone Pine tree, which was at least 5,000 years old. This tree was the oldest non-clonal organism ever discovered but unfortunately was cut down by a research student in 1964. Since it was cut down, the tree was given the nickname, Prometheus, after greek mythology. The park also contains 11 different types of conifer trees and 800 different species of plants. Many visitors go for the camping, since there are plenty of campsites within the park with remarkable views.

-Obverse: The obverse of the coin displays the iconic side portrait of George Washington, that is also featured on the quarter dollars we still use as pocket change. The words "In God We Trust", "United States of America", "Liberty", and the coin's denomination, "Quarter Dollar" are also written around the first President's face.
-Reverse: The reverse of the silver coin displays the lone Bristlecone Pine tree in all its glory. The words, "Great Basin", "E Pluribus Unum", "Nevada", and the year of mintage, "2013" are also featured on this side.
