The Grand Canyon is a National Park, located in Arizona. Revealing millions of years of geology, the Grand Canyon is home to layered bands of red rock. This massive park contains a river that is 277 river miles long, 18 miles wide, and has a depth of over one mile. President Theodore Roosevelt desired for the Grand Canyon to be a National Park, in 1903, but it wouldn't officially receive that title until 1919.
