The four Presidential Dollars portray the four past presidents: James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren. The Presidential Dollars have the presidents' names inscribed on the obverse, as well as each president's actual term in office. There is a different and unique artist responsible for each of the Presidential portraits. The Presidential Dollars metallic composition is comprised of a copper core and a manganese brass out layer, resulting in the stunning golden tone. The Sacagawea Dollar was struck at the Denver Mint and features the historical hero, Sacagawea. The dollar's reverse and obverse designs were created by sculptor, Glenna Goodacre, and Mint Engraver, Thomas D. Rodgers. The Sacagawea Dollar is also comprised of a copper core and manganese brass outer layer. The 2008 Silver Eagle carries the "W" mint-mark, alluding to its place of mintage as the famous New York West Point Mint. The obverse features Adolph Weinman's Lady Liberty design, from the infamous Walking Liberty Half Dollar and the reverse depicts the national seal, along with 13 stars representing the first 13 colonies.
