The Kennedy half dollar was first minted in 1964, the year following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It features the face of President Kennedy on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. The obverse was designed by Gilroy Roberts and the reverse was designed by Frank Gasparro. A great set for the collector, it contains all dates and mint marks in the series. This set includes every proof coin, bicentennial silver, proof silver coins & type II coins in the series, it also includes the Matte proof issue!
